Latest macOS Beta References Two New iMacs
[ad_1]
It is widely expected that Apple will be announcing new iMacs this year. This is because the company is slowly transitioning to Apple Silicon and the iMacs are some of the models that have yet to undergo that transition. Apple hasn’t officially announced anything yet, but the latest macOS 11.3 beta has referenced two new models.
The code makes reference to “iMac21,1” and “iMac21,2”. Unfortunately, these names don’t really tell us what we might be able to expect from them and which model they could be talking about. Apple’s iMac lineup currently consists of a 21.5-inch model and a 27-inch model, although there have been rumors that claim that Apple could introduce a 24-inch model.
However, the question is whether this model will replace the 21.5-inch model or exist as a third option for customers. Plus, it also looks like Apple is slowly starting to wind down the availability of the current 21.5-inch model as several configurations are no longer offered, but it is unclear if this is due to component shortages or Apple is simply discontinuing certain configurations.
In any case, we have heard that Apple will be hosting an event in April. No dates have been confirmed but we should hear something in the coming weeks if the rumors are true, so remember to check back with us for more updates.
