While TV show or movie adaptions of video games have never really fared that well in the past, Netflix’s Castlevania series has actually been quite a hit amongst fans and viewers. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end because if you recall, Netflix did confirm that the last season of Castlevania will be released next month.
That being said, if you are curious as to what awaits us in the final season, Netflix has since released a trailer for the fourth and final season. According to the very brief description of the final season, “Dracula’s influence looms large as Belmont and Sypha investigate plans to resurrect the notorious vampire. Alucard struggles to embrace his humanity.”
That being said, while this is the final season for Castlevania, Netflix did state that they do have plans for a spin-off series in the future that will be based in the same universe but feature a new cast of characters. This means that while this particular storyline and characters will come to an end, it isn’t the end for the franchise.
Not much is known about the future of the Castlevania universe of Netflix, but regardless, the final season for the current series is set for a release on the 13th of May, so mark your calendars if you plan on watching it.
