Apple will debut its iPhone 13 later this year, and as we have seen from previous iPhone launches over the year, the new iPhone 13 will most likely come with a brand new chipset. Last year saw the debut of the A14, which means that this year will probably see Apple launch the A15.

Now according to a report from DigiTimes, production of the A15 chipset TSMC has begun. The A15 will be similar to the A14 in terms of the fabrication process, which will be at 5nm. For those hoping to see a smaller process used, that will probably only happen in 2022 with the iPhone 14 and the A16 chipset.

However, the 5nm process is still very good and it shouldn’t take away from the experience. The report also claims that Apple could be rather bullish on the iPhone 13 because according to industry sources, demand for the chipset is said to surpass that of the A14, meaning that Apple could be ordering more units in anticipation that the iPhone 13 will be a hit.

The iPhone 13 will be launched later in the year around September. There will be four models in the lineup, according to the rumors, and will mirror last year’s launch which means there’ll be an iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, and the iPhone 13 Pro Max.
