Last week, Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella teased that the company was working on its next-gen Windows operating system. If you’re curious as to what kind of changes and improvements we can expect from Windows, the official information will be revealed on the 24th of June.

The company has started to send out invites to the event that they will be hosting on the 24th of June at 11AM ET. Surprisingly there haven’t been that many leaks regarding the next-gen version of Windows. Microsoft has been working on variants of Windows 10, like Windows 10X. It was originally designed for dual screen devices, but later shifted focus before it was ultimately shelved.

We’re not sure if Microsoft will still be sticking with Windows 10 or if we could see the next major version, whether it be Windows 11 or whatever Microsoft plans to call it. When the company announced that they would be cancelling Windows 10X, they stated that they are planning to take some of the features they’ve developed and use it.

According to Microsoft, “In fact, some of this is already reflected in the core of Windows in Windows Insider preview builds, for example the new app container technology we’re integrating into products like Microsoft Defender Application Guard, an enhanced Voice Typing experience, and a modernized touch keyboard with optimized key sizing, sounds, colors and animations.”

Either way we’ll have the details in the coming weeks, so check back with us for more updates.
