Ubisoft Launches Rocksmith+ Subscription That Teaches You How To Play Guitar And Bass
[ad_1]
Want to learn a new musical instrument? If you do, some of you might recall that Ubisoft attempted to go down this path back in 2011 with Rocksmith. There was a sequel in 2014, but things have quieted down since then, at least until today where Ubisoft has announced the revival to its Rocksmith series with Rocksmith+.
With the launch of Rocksmith+, it seems that Ubisoft will be embracing the subscription model like many other companies have been doing in recent years. The new service will help people learn to play instruments like the guitar and bass, and all they need to do is connect their instruments to their PCs.
It will also work with acoustic instruments as your phone’s microphone can be used to pick up on the audio, so you won’t need additional equipment or accessories. There will be real-time feedback provided as you play along, and there are features that lets you control playback speed so you can slowly get used to the notes and chords.
We’re not sure what songs will be available, but Ubisoft says there will be a “huge amount” at launch, and will also cover a wide variety of genres including rock, metal, pop, hip-hop, country, Latin, R&B, and more. There’s no word on how much the new service will cost, but if you’re interested you can sign up to take part in a closed beta.
