Far Cry 6 Will Finally Be Released On October 7, 2021

Back in 2020, Ubisoft announced the next installment in its Far Cry series with Far Cry 6. The game was initially set for a release in February 2021, but that clearly did not pan out. It was later suggested that it might have been moved to March 2021, but that again obviously did not work out.
The good news is that pending no further delays, Ubisoft has finally nailed down a new release date for the game and that is for the 7th of October, 2021, about a good eight months after the initial release date. The reason for the delay was due to COVID-19 which forced Ubisoft to delay their plans, but like we said, barring no other issues that could cause a delay, gamers can expect to play it this coming October.
The game will be released for both consoles and PC. It will be available for the PS4 and Xbox One, but if you buy those versions, you’ll be happy to hear that Ubisoft will be giving you a free upgrade where if you eventually get around to getting the PS5 or Xbox Series X/S, you’ll be able to get a copy of the game for the current-gen consoles.
The game will also be available through Google Stadia so if you don’t own a console or don’t have a PC that has the necessary hardware to run the game natively, you’ll be able to stream it. Gamers who are interested can go ahead and pre-order the game through Ubisoft’s website.
